Welcome to Southern Oregon Pediatrics! Our story started in 1966 when Dr. Lee Murdoch began practicing as a pediatrician in Medford, OR. He built the practice on the principle "How can we help you?" and since then we have grown to become the largest pediatric practice in the Rogue Valley. Our primary focus is personalized care that is not limited to your visit to the clinic. Our goal is to allow many avenues for family's to easily access medical information, schedule appointments, seek advice, and contact your pediatrician. Well Child Care
Regular
well child care visits to the pediatrician is the best way to make sure your child is healthy and meeting their developmental milestones. Our care providers are trained to provide current, thoughtful practices to the wellness care of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. During these well visits your pediatrician will evaluate your child’s development, address any concerns you might have, and provide advice for the continued health and growth of your child.
Acute Illness
When a child is ill, we know that it’s every parent’s priority to get them the care they need to feel better as soon as possible. At Southern Oregon Pediatrics, we make every effort to schedule appointments for
acute illness on the same day you call us. We provide telephone advice to all patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year through our nurse triage phone line and one of our pediatricians is always on-call as well.
Lactation
Breastfeeding is natural but it doesn't always come easy to all parents and babies. That's why Southern Oregon Pediatrics offers
lactation consultation. Nancy Baker is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over 30 years working in pediatrics. Nancy works with breastfeeding families to identify problems and find solutions to common breastfeeding issues. Nancy also facilitates two support groups that are at no charge to our patients.
