Dr. Taylor Yancey completed his undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences and Nutritional Sciences from the Honor’s department at the University of Nevada-Reno. He completed his senior thesis with a focus on nutrition. He was also a college athlete, try and guess which sport, or maybe ask him when you have an appointment with him.

Dr. Yancey then completed medical school in Southern Utah at Rocky Vista University. He happened to be near many state and national parks where he learned how to rock climb and completed a marathon. He stayed an extra year to complete a teaching scholarship in the Anatomy department.

He then completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, taking care of kids from all different backgrounds and medical complexities.

He is excited to join Southern Oregon Pediatrics and be back on the West coast near family, many of which live in Oregon. He loves spending time with his wife and kids, getting outside whenever possible. He enjoys reading, playing basketball, listening to music, and golfing if he has the opportunity.
